Our burdens wrestle within us. At times, we sink into sadness; at others, we find moments of joy. Yet when life’s hardships accumulate and weigh heavily upon the soul, weariness begins to settle in, drawing us inward to the deepest corners of ourselves.
There, we turn to God in humble supplication, even when we have fallen short, hoping that He will lift from us our sorrow, ease our worries, and mend the consequences of choices we once made or mistakes that altered the course of our lives.
Then, from God, a glimmer of hope appears—one of the glad tidings of which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) spoke. Dreams and visions arrive, assuring us that distress will pass and grief will fade away.
But these visions are not merely signs of an approaching relief. They are like rain upon land cracked by drought, restoring life to what had withered. They quench a soul long parched, filling it with the light of its Lord.
A light sent by the Creator through those blessed tidings, until the heart, reassured and at peace, repeats the words of God:
﴿إِنَّ مَعَِيَ ربِّي سَيَهْدِينِ﴾.
